RHA Studio is a small, friendly, family-run professional photography business with BIG ambitions, operating from our studio which is located in Batu Berendam, Melaka. Melaka is situated in the South West of Malaysia, on the Malacca Straits, which separate Malaysia from Indonesia. Melaka is roughly half-way between the country capital, Kuala Lumpur and the island-state of Singapore.

RHA STUDIO SPECIALISING IN

RHA Studio specialise in wedding and pre-wedding (engagement) as well as individual, family, group and corporate portraits. We also offer, in particular, family pets & other animals, event, food and product photography. RHA Studio will consider most other genres of photography always provided it can be done so legally.

ROY NELSON

Roy is our main photographer. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland in the United Kingdom. Roy lived and went to school in Scotland and then worked in Glasgow until he moved to Nottingham (England) in 1978. After moving to York then Leicester, he finally settled in Derby, Derbyshire, in 1985, and remained living in Derbyshire until moving to Malaysia in 2013.

Roy worked in numerous jobs, all within Financial and Management Accounting, being office-based until 1997 when he became a SAP Financials Consultant. Consulting saw Roy working in almost every country in Western Europe, several Eastern European countries and also Malaysia and Thailand in Asia.

Having married in Melaka in 2008, Roy eventually took early retirement in 2012 and the family moved to Melaka in March 2013 and we have lived there ever since. Being retired was a blessing for Roy as it provided the time for him to successfully study for a Diploma in Professional Photography via online education provided by The Photography Institute, and Roy graduated in May 2014. Roy is our main photographer and it is his photographs that are displayed on this website.
